Frequently asked questions
Answers for Lineage 2 players and server owners: how to use the L2Mix calendar, pick chronicles and rates, submit a server and order VIP placement.
For players
What is this site and how does it work?
L2Mix is a launch calendar and catalog of open Lineage 2 private servers. We collect start dates, chronicles, rates and short project descriptions so you can compare options and visit the server you pick. The list is updated daily: new announcements appear and outdated projects are hidden.
What are rates (x1, x50, x100) and how do they affect gameplay?
Rates are multipliers for leveling speed and resources: XP, spoil, adena, drops and quest rewards. Low rates (x1–x10) feel closer to a classic MMORPG; high rates (x100+) mean a fast start and more PvP focus. Each server on L2Mix lists its rates, and the sidebar offers filters for popular ranges.
Which server is best for a beginner?
If you are new to Lineage 2, medium rates (around x10–x50) and popular chronicles — Interlude, High Five or Essence — are a comfortable start. Use homepage filters and the Today page to find launches in the next few days.
How do I search by chronicle, rates and launch date?
The homepage calendar groups servers by date: upcoming, today, yesterday and earlier. The sidebar filters chronicles, rates and catalog tags (PvP, low, top, etc.). You can also open ready-made sections such as /chronicle/interlude or /rates/x50 — each server is listed in every matching category automatically.
What about donate, premium and pay-to-win?
Many private servers offer paid perks: faster leveling, cosmetics or bonuses. That does not always mean pay-to-win — balance depends on the project. L2Mix publishes announcements only; check the server website and donate description before you start.
Where do I start if I am new or returning after a long break?
Pick a server with medium rates and a launch date in the next few days — easier to join a live crowd. Choose a chronicle (Interlude for PvP, Essence for solo, Classic for old-school feel) and a durable class. Do not overthink it: try the first suitable start from the calendar.
Which classes work well for solo play?
For solo leveling, classes with self-sustain and steady damage are common picks — mages, some tanks and hybrid fighters depending on the chronicle. Essence made solo easier: most classes can progress alone. Check the meta on your server's forum or Discord — balance varies by project.
What Lineage 2 chronicles exist and how do they differ?
Main chronicles in the catalog: Interlude (classic PvP balance), High Five (more PvE content), Classic (old-school atmosphere), Essence (simpler mechanics and solo-friendly play), plus C4, Gracia, Epilogue and more. Every server on L2Mix shows its chronicle — filter the list to match your client version.
For server owners
How do I add my server to the catalog?
Click Add server in the menu or open /add-server. Fill in the name, launch date, chronicle, rates and contacts. After moderation (usually within 30 minutes) the server appears in the calendar and matching sections. Basic listing is free.
How is regular listing different from VIP Red and VIP Orange?
Regular — your server in the date-sorted list without extra highlighting. VIP Red — top slot in the date block, bold red name, visibility on the homepage, chronicles, rates and /l2top; best on launch day. VIP Orange — orange highlight above the regular list in upcoming and already-open blocks. Details and pricing are on the Advertising page (/sponsor).
Can I update server details after publication?
Yes. Contact us via the Contacts form or Telegram — name the server and what to change (date, rates, description, links). An up-to-date listing builds trust and clicks.
How often is the server list updated?
The calendar is refreshed every day: new announcements are added and dates are checked. Outdated projects may be hidden by moderators.
My server is already online — should I still list it?
Yes. Many players look for live projects with an active population. Your server will appear in the already-open block, chronicle and rate sections, and can attract new players — especially with stable uptime, promos or newbie bonuses.
Can one server appear in several catalog sections?
Yes, automatically. One listing shows in the date calendar, its chronicle page, the matching rate range and catalog tags (PvP, low, etc.). VIP Red and VIP Orange add priority placement in key blocks.
Can I promote several servers at once?
Yes. You can submit multiple projects from one owner — useful for server networks and seasonal launches. VIP and banner formats are ordered separately per server or campaign.
I have an idea to improve the site — where should I send it?
We welcome feedback: the Contacts form, Telegram or the email in the site footer. Suggestions from players and admins help us improve the L2Mix calendar, filters and advertising tools.
